Donald Trump appealed Maine ballot bar before 2024 election.

Donald Trump has filed an appeal, alleging bias against the Republican front-runner from a top state official,

challenging the decision that disqualified him on the Maine presidential primary ballot in 2024.

Secretary of State Shenna Bellows of Maine came to the conclusion that the former president's inflammatory remarks made in January 2021 to a throng on Capitol ,

Hill and his fabricated allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 election qualified as "insurrection" against the federal government.

The Supreme Court is still anticipated to comment on Ms. Bellows' ruling as well as a comparable conclusion made by Colorado courts a week prior.

However, the Trump campaign filed an appeal with the Maine Superior Court before it probably intervened.

The appeal accused Democratic candidate Ms. Bellows of misusing her position ,

and depending on "untrustworthy evidence," and it requested that Trump be allowed to run again in the Maine primary on March 5.
