How to Get Started with Every "Yellowstone" Prequel and Spinoff Series, Including "1883," "1923," and "6666"

On May 5, Paramount revealed that the popular neo-Western show starring Kevin Costner will end after its fifth season. However, the show's streaming service shared exciting news about the future of the Dutton family.

The last episodes of the first half of Yellowstone season 5 were added to Peacock on May 25. The second half was pushed back one year because of the writers' strike and will air in November 2024.

Even though this is the end of the original series, Yellowstone will live on through the many spinoffs made by Taylor Sheridan.

1883 James and Margaret Dutton, the Dutton family's 19th-century ancestors, travel west through the Great Plains from Texas to Montana in 1883. Lawless territories, deadly gunfights, peril, and tons of dust are promised in all nine episodes.

An all-star cast led by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill was assembled. Multi-award winners Sam Elliot and Eric Nelsen, Isabel May, LaMonica Garrett, Audie Rick, Emma Malouff, Dawn Olivieri,

Marc Rissmann, Anna Fiamora, James Landry Hébert, Alex Fine, Gratiela Brancusi, Nichole Galicia, Stephanie Nur, Amanda Jaros, Noah Le Gros, and Martin Sensmeier join them.

1923 Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford feature in 1923 (formerly named 1932), which premiered on Paramount Network and its streamer in a special simulcast on Dec. 8, 2022. Matriarch Cara and patriarch Jacob Dutton play husband and wife.

6666 Known as "Four Sixes," 6666 depicts an actual cattle ranch in West Texas, not Montana like Yellowstone.

"The Sixes is one of the oldest ranches in Texas, one of the oldest ranches in the country... One of the oldest functioning cattle ranches, horse training, breeding facilities in the country," White said. "I'm really excited for people to see the real, gritty, not glamorous world of real-life cattle ranching, now in modern times."
