Ja morant responds to criticism after celebrating Grizzlies' win against Pelican

Guard Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies came under intense attention after celebrating a huge dunk during Tuesday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

As Morant danced towards the audience to celebrate, several users on social media thought he was imitating the shooting of fictitious guns.

The Grizzlies guard showed weapons twice on Instagram Live, which led to a 25-game punishment. The moment occurred just four games after Morant's return from the suspension.

However, some reactions to the scandal gained traction on Wednesday by pointing out that.

As can be seen below, Morant was actually performing a common dance in New Orleans rather than feigning to wave a pistol.

Morant answered late on Tuesday night, indicating that this was precisely what he was doing following the dunk.

After returning to the floor, Morant was selected the Western Conference player of the week, and he has helped the Grizzlies win four straight games.

Morant has shot 50.6% from the field and averaged 28.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 8.5 assists.
