Star Trek's Section 31 has determined the premiere date for Michelle Yeoh's spin-off movie.

Star Trek: Section 31, the anticipated Star Trek: Discovery spin-off starring Michelle Yeoh, has a filming start date.

According to ComicBook.com, Star Trek: Section 31 will begin production in January 2024.

Yeoh will reprise her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou from the first season of Star Trek: Discovery in the film, which was first revealed in April 2023.

Olatunde Osunsanmi is directing Star Trek: Section 31 from a script written by Craig Sweeny.

Sweeny, Osunsanmi, Yeoh, Alex Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry

and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers, and the film is produced by CBS Studios in collaboration with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.

When Star Trek: Section 31 was first announced, Yeoh stated, "I'm beyond thrilled to return to my 'Star Trek' family and to the role I've loved for so long."

Section 31 has been close and dear to my heart since I began my adventure as Philippa all the way back when the new golden age of 'Star Trek' began.

It's a dream come true to see her finally receive her moment in a year that's showed me the immense power of never giving up on your aspirations.

Team Trek is happy to have our great friend back home as we explore new Trekverse territories.
