The Maine secretary disqualifies Trump by invoking the 14th Amendment.

It has been decided by Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows that former President ,

Donald Trump is not permitted to run in the state's Republican primary in 2024.

Democrat Bellows made her ruling over three objections raised by people in Maine, including three legislators, 

regarding Trump's nomination petition for the GOP primary.Bellows upheld the two challenges based  ,

on Section 3 of the 14th Amendment that attempted to keep Trump off the ballot. 

One that depended on the 22nd Amendment was rejected by her. In her ruling, Bellows stated,

"I conclude that Mr. Trump's primary petition is invalid." "In particular, I conclude that the statement made on his candidate consent form is untrue, 

as he is ineligible to serve as President in accordance with Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment."In her ruling, Bellows said,
