With a $685 million jackpot, the Powerball: When will the following drawing be made?

With the jackpot for the Powerball lottery reaching an incredible $685 million, anticipation is high for this Wednesday's drawing.

There's a lot of money on the line, so there's a lot of tension and excitement as people try to win big and turn their lives around.

There were no winners from the Dec. 25 Powerball drawing. At $685 million, the jackpot offers a one-time payout of $344.7 million to a fortunate winner.

Since October, when a lucky player in California won $1.76 billion, the second-largest prize in the history of the game, the jackpot has been steadily increasing.

Three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. ET, there are Powerball drawings.

The drawing on Monday, December 25 yielded the winning numbers: 05, 12, 20, 24, and 29. 04 was the red Powerball, and 2X was the Power Play.

To play, choose one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball and five numbers for the white balls from 1 to 69.

All prizes, with the exception of the grand prize, are cash only. Sales and the number of winners determine prize payout amounts in California.
